Suzuki Confirmed the Production and Sales Timeline of Their First EV, "e-VITARA".

Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled its first Electric Vehicle e-VITARA, in Milan, Italy. The e-VITARA is based on the concept model ‘eVX’.

• Powertrain.

  e-VITARA will be equipped with efficient eAxle that integrates the motor and inverter, along with lithium iron-phosphate battery. This new EV will offer three driving modes Eco, Normal and Sport.

• Electric 4WD system.

  ALLGRIP-e is Suzuki’s new 4WD system for EVs. It features two independent eAxles and motors at front and rear. Additionally, it includes two modes; “Auto” for normal road condition and “Trail” for rough terrains.

• All new platform specifically for EV’s.

  HEARTECT-e platform is specifically designed for EVs. It features a lightweight structure, high-voltage protection and a spacious cabin due to the short overhang. HEARTECT-e platform is made with 2x high tensile materials than old HEARTECT of ICE cars. Additionally to protect battery pack it equipped with impact energy absorbing side mounts and battery protecting frame.

Production of e-VITARA will start around March, 2025 at Suzuki Motor’s Gujarat, India plant and sales expected to begin in various countries including Europe, India and Japan around Summers 2025.
